Analasis

In "123. Lines to an Old Sweetheart" by robert burns it seems to talk about something like a wedding and could possibly be an anniversary or any other day that can lead to a death in one of them. This is shown in lines one and two by saying "youthful vows" and "still remember'd dear" as well as in the last two lines. so to sum it all up it's about the death of a cupel, but still in the memory of others. Now when it comes to the technical side of this Rhymes occur in this order "a.b.a.b.c.d.c.d" as in dear and sincere

Two Fusiliers by Robert Graves

Analysis

In "Two Fusiliers" by Robert Graves we start of with analysing the rhyme sceem then moving on to what the peom is posibly saying in the words of Graves. to start of rhymes occur in this order "a.b.b.a.c.c." in each stanza such as bound and found. Now this poem is about two soilders as it seems because of lines like line one where it talks about war. As we go on we find lines seven to twelve talking about what they've been through and possibly gone through war. This is shown in line ten as an example "by all the misery and loud sound". For one thing the loud sound can be gun shots or explosions in war and the misery that war can bring to some that find it hard to bear. Finally in the last stanza it talks about death. It is also one of those things that say that in death even friendship is found and is shown by remembrance.
